Just released Carmenere is really a hit!  As I taste buyers on it throughout Arizona and Colorado they are buying this one up.  So many Carmenere’s at a price under $10 can be so vegetal and green, but not this one.  The fruit is forward and soft but the tannins and the finish really come through with the Chilean earth.  All estate grown fruit that is organically grown – certification will be issued in 8 more months!  Terrapura (Pure Earth) also features fabulous Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

2008  Terrapura Carmenere   – 87 Pts (Very Good)

KEN’S WINE GUIDE, Nov 2009

“This very dark purple Carmenere opens with a mild black raspberry bouquet. On the
palate, this wine is medium-bodied, balanced and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a
ripe black raspberry with notes of blueberry, blackberry and a dash of pepper. The finish is
dry and its mild tannins are nicely extended. If you have not had a Very Good Carmenere
lately, give this entry level offering a try. It would go perfectly with Theresa’s meatloaf.”
