February is a fantastic month for wine dinners and winemaker’s visits! February 2nd we are starting with a 2 Angels Wine Dinners – 2 of them before Valentine’s Day!

The Blue Adobe Chef will be creating some off the menu dishes to pair with the new 2 Angels Central Coast Chardonnay, 2 Angels Divinity GSM Blend, 2 Angels Petite Sirah & the new Angel’s Secret Zinfandel. Wines from the Lake Country California Appellation – High Valley comes the 2 Angel’s wines. Created by Robert Pepi Jr. These wines are very pleasing on the palate. Never over done just all the right characteristics with layers of fruit and flavors always varietally correct.
2/3/2010 – Update about dinner – it was amazing! Wonderful Pairings! I completely forgot to take a picture of the Tenderloin Stroganoff – it was simply so beautiful I dug right in!
The wines were all well received with the 2 Angels Divinity Red Blend – GSM was the crowd favorite. It was paired with the Porcini Mushroom Enchilada in a Coffee and Chocolate Mole Sauce – delicious!
The 2 Angels Chardonnay was paired with the Pan Seared Scallop on Arugula tossed with Mango Chardonnay vinaigrette with port wine syrup and cilantro oil.
Again too excited over the Banan Fosters Bread Pudding with Butter Rum Sauce and ice cream that was paired with the 2 Angels Petite Sirah that I again failed in my picture taking abilities! So sorry – but trust me it was beautiful and delicious.
